MAY 4th!! Join favorite Philly and Palo Santo teacher Kelly Love for this two hour, fun-filled, strength building workshop focusing specifically on forearm balance and handstand.
Taking our yoga poses to our hands can be very intimidating and often scary…BUT, it can also be a lot of fun, super exhilarating and even addictive. Turning our world upside down is also challenging by the simple fact that we spend the majority of our life right-side up. This workshop is designed to give you the tools you need to gain confidence, build strength and approach these inversions in a safe and effective manner.
In the first part of the workshop. we will:
Warm the body with an invigorating vinyasa practice designed to help us find our core
Open the shoulders
Prepare our proprioception for going upside down.
In the second part of the workshop, we will:
Break down the alignment anatomically
Build strength and improve proprioception with timed holds
Build confidence both at the wall and with a partner
Explore variations of forearm balance and handstands
Practice safe “bail out” techniques
