Yoga 101: A Workshop
Do you know what's down dog? Have you ever wondered why everyone is saying Namaste? Namaste where??? If you find yourself wanting to venture into a yoga class, but aren't quite sure what to expect, we've got all the answers to your questions.
Welcome to Yoga 101: a workshop just for beginners, newbies, and anyone who's genuinely curious about this whole 'yoga thing'. Touching on a brief history of yoga itself, different styles that you may come across on a class schedule, the simple rules of etiquette while being in a studio setting, and some basic sanskrit terminology one might hear during class - the whole experience will be an open-discussion format, Q&A is totally encouraged! Closing out the day, we'll transform new knowledge into practice. In a 50 minute asana experience, we will break down fundamental postures piece by piece to build muscle memory while incorporating breath, gentle flow, and mindful meditation. Come as a newbie, leave as a yogi.
